    Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD)

VetVest Group, LLC IS TEMPORARILY HOSTING THIS PROJECT.

Everyone has gifts. Each person in a community has something to contribute.
Relationships build a community: People must be connected in order for sustainable community development to take place.
Citizens at the center: Citizens should be viewed as actors—not recipients—in development.

The ABCD Group is a Steering Committee embracing the above acknowledgement and restates that truth as follows:

Everyone has Time, Talent, and Treasury (more than just currency; it could be character, morality, or principals that an individual values). A key point, however, is the Giving of these valuable, and Given, individual commodities (Gifts) in exchange for the betterment (development) of the community for ALL.

The goal, therefore, is to strive for "a more perfect union..." in communities that are impacted by disparities in the Wealth Gap and to to provide resources like Access to Capital, financial education, support services, and traditional and non-traditional opportunities to Narrow that Wealth Gap.

Introducing our newest collaborative association: New Horizons Community Development Corp (NHCDC) - Not-for-Profit entity (Applied for IRS Determination 3/23- Pending).  VetVest Group is TEMPORARILY Hosting this site as a collaborative partner.

It is the opinion of many experts and lay persons that Financial Education is unevenly provided in our American Education Systems. For example, urban schools may, more or less, offer Financial Literacy; Councilors may encourage some students and not others; and parents or mentors may, or may not, insist on financial responsibility. Commercial outlets, especially television, encourages spend-spend and live NOW and pay later by the swipe of an easily obtainable card. Many are consumed in debt.

NOW, how to exit from debt and acquire wealth becomes an issue. Consider those who may have a few thousand dollars of debt and first, only consider bankruptcy as a solution. They have not considered paying a little more on principal, consumer credit counseling, or bill consolidation if they have assets.

HOT n' SPICY - Real Estate related with a Twist!

JUlyt 14th 2025 the City Council of Aurora, CO passed an intiativve called the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) moving the intiative from a research stage to an iitiative set fr the voters in November.

VetVest Group, LLC is leading an effort to provide opportunities for the low-dollar and Opportuity Investor - EARLY.  Too often (Most often) marginalized commUNITYs enjoy the reults of development but, seldom few enjoy the economic benefits of development or redevelopment. Kst often, the people are left to be employees - labor.  Recall in the scheme of Principles of Economic   Land,Laborr, Capital, Management, and snce the 1980s, Informatin, Labor is the lowest rung on the ladder of EQUITY and positionng for the potential of ALL to participate in the American Dream, acquiring some level of wealth,Consider also, "...But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” — Ephesians 4:7 (ESV).   NOW, how often do we consider a comfort level that confirms the Word that ssys, “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Ineighbors] who are poor and needy in your land.” Rather than approach the issue of why? Sociologically; pschoogically; or otherwise medically.  VetVest Group, LLC asks the question,

NOW!  “What’cha Gonna Do with What’cha Got?”

" Give 1st of the Given Time, Talent, and Treasury…Knowing!"

OK, you say, what does Giving have to Do with Anything is  acquiring wealth?

May I suggest, you hasvve been Given the Gift of Life and a mesasure of Time, Talent, and Treasury however small or large. Again, its true, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” — Luke 6:38 (NIV).
